16mo. Bound in the original burgundy cloth with cover designs and lettering in black. The binding is rubbed and worn but sound. The text is browned. The whole point of this book is to convince doctors to prescribe Pepto-Mangan ( Gude ) for nearly every occasion. Supposedly this product helps create red blood cells, rebuilds damaged ones, and Increases the hemoglobin percentage in Anemeia, Chlorosis, and other forms of Blood Devitalization . Every day of the year gets its own page, and a notation at the top offers advice or observation which usually ends with the wonderful application of the product touted on the endpapers.
